We have to make a survey about Living Green from Mrs. Kent. I think Mrs. Kent wanted us to do this is because she wants us to see how to Live Green and to understand how to Live Green.

Grade 6 camp memories

Camp

This year the grade 6's went to Rocklands. Rocklands is in Simons Tow. We left on the 9th March until the 11th March. We left the school and started driving on the road at 9:00am sharp. Jada Clement, Emma Evans and Kelsey Chiang were in my cabin. They made me laugh a lot especially Jada, she was very funny. Everyone in my cabin always had a smile on their face.

In the bus it was so much fun, I was sitting next to Emma Evans, she and I were eating chocolates and biltong almost the whole way to Rocklands. Behind us was Ethan, Michael and Thando. Mevrou Van Tonder came and sat with Emma and I and she started talking with us. She was also taking to Ethan. After a while in the bus, Ethan ate a lot of sweets, resulting in a sugar rush and just laughed and laughed. It was very funny and they just kept asking people for more sweeties. Mevrou Van Tonder was also very funny. The teachers in our bus were Mevrou Van Tonder, Mr. B and Miss Calits. Mr. B and Miss Calits were sitting in the front of the bus, Mevrou Van Tonder would walk seeing if everyone was ok, but she mostly just sat by Emma and I. Emma and I started singing for Mevrou and she loved it. The rest of the way to Rocklands we all started talking to each other. When we finally arrived at Rocklands we had to get our luggage and go to the Forum. When we got to the Forum, the people who run Rocklands came and told us what to with our luggage and everything else, then we went to the Sports Hall. We all sat on the stands which were very comfortable. In the Sports Hall we met the leaders who were doing the activities with us. There was Nekeata, Romero, Caitlin, Graham and Sean. We all had to sit on the floor and they split us into groups. When we got our groups we had to make a name for our group and a war cry. Nekeata then gave everyone the keys for there cabins. Kelsey went and got the key for our cabin and we had to get our bags and take them to our cabins. After a while in our cabins it was lunch time.
 (The next day).
In the morning Kelsey woke up at 5:55am. I was also awake so she came and lay with me, then Jada woke up and also came to lie by us. Jada was right on the edge of the bed so Kelsey kept on pushing her over on to the floor and Kelsey and I were laughing and Jada was also laughing. At about 6:15 we all got up and got dressed. Kelsey and I went to go and play some basketball with Helma and Mihan. They played really well. At 8:00am we had to be in the dining room for breakfast, the breakfast was delicious. I had rice crispies which was so tasty. It was Emma Neves birthday and we all sang for her. The rest of the day was jam -packed with activities and when we were allowed to swim some kids found a dead centipede at the bottom of the pool. The rest of the day was really fun with all of the activities that they planned for us.

The biggest challenge for me was my team. We didn't really get along so well, but on the last night when we all went to the forum to do our performances we all kind of became good friends and even though we all got really frustrated, I guess we all do get along.

Goals

Why is it important to have goals.

I think it is important to have goals so you can try and work really hard through out the year.

My goals: To throw at least 9m in shot put with the 3kg   
               : To be more close with God.
               : To score at least 2 goals at every softball and netball match.
